Professor Orville Jaebker Prize
The Jaebker Prize for Best Senior Thesis of 2009 was awarded to William Warwick. As a history major, William maintains a 3.98 GPA and has minors in Women’s Studies and Legal Studies. Will has participated in numerous history department activities while maintaining an active role in the College Democrats and being the Head Resident for Powell Hall. His senior thesis, “A Sisterhood of Displacement: The Unique Social Condition of African-American Women in the United States,” combined his studies of the history of race, class, and gender with legal history. William will be attending law school in the fall and hopes to continue his fight for social justice.
